At SereniPose, we celebrate women whose movement reflects growth, curiosity, and resilience. Jackie, based in Chicago, embodies calm, joy, playfulness, and adventure. Over time, her life has been shaped by family, travel, friendships, and a deep connection to movement.
Movement as a Lifelong Companion
Movement has always been part of Jackie’s life. For over twelve years, she worked as a go-go dancer. During that time, she explored rhythm, freedom, and self-expression through her body.
In addition, she has always loved dancing and attending music festivals. These experiences strengthened her connection to movement and energy. As a result, movement became more than a hobby—it became a way of life.
Discovering Yoga During Challenging Times
Jackie began practicing yoga during the Covid pandemic. At first, her goal was simple: she wanted to achieve the splits. However, what started as a physical goal soon became something deeper.
She followed online classes from Boho Beautiful and built a self-led practice. Over time, her curiosity grew. Because of this, she decided to explore yoga beyond the poses.
Eventually, she completed multiple 200-hour yoga teacher trainings. These included Sacred Paths Yoga and Yoga of Shamanism with Jai Wellness in Peru. Through these experiences, she discovered yoga as a holistic practice—one that includes movement, philosophy, and mindful living.
Flexibility as a Path to Healing
Alongside yoga, Jackie focused on flexibility training. As she progressed, she realized that opening the body can also open the mind. In other words, flexibility helped her expand her beliefs and perspective.
During a difficult heartbreak, her practice became an anchor. It grounded her through grief and supported her healing. At the same time, it taught her to stay present and move through discomfort.
Because of this, Jackie learned to gently push her limits. These lessons did not stay on the mat—they carried into her daily life.
Inspiring Through Teaching and Presence
Today, Jackie is both a teacher and a lifelong student. She blends flexibility and mindful movement in her approach. As a result, she helps others build calm, presence, and emotional balance.
Through SereniPose, she encourages others to explore their potential. She also reminds them to move safely and with awareness. Most importantly, she teaches that consistent practice creates real change.
Expressing Herself Through Modeling
Beyond teaching, Jackie expresses herself through modeling. Here, she combines yoga and fashion to tell visual stories. Her flexibility allows her to explore shapes, lines, and movement in creative ways.
Because of this, her work feels both playful and empowering. It reflects strength, confidence, and self-expression.
Jackie in Her Own Words
“Movement has always been at the heart of my life. I have always loved to dance and move, and for over twelve years, I worked as a go-go dancer. I began practicing yoga for one simple reason—I wanted to get my splits. However, yoga became something much deeper.
After building a self-led practice through YouTube, I felt called to learn more. I wanted to understand not just the poses, but also the flow, philosophy, and lifestyle. So, I completed multiple 200-hour teacher trainings.
At the same time, I trained flexibility. This opened a new path of self-discovery. I saw how expanding the body can expand belief and possibility.
During a difficult heartbreak, yoga became my anchor. It helped me move through pain and reconnect with myself. Because of this, I learned to stay present and trust the process.
Today, I teach while continuing to learn. Yoga has helped me find calm, presence, and strength. My intention is to guide others to explore their potential and trust themselves. Above all, I want to create a space where people feel safe, supported, and capable.”
A Journey of Growth and Possibility
Jackie’s journey shows the power of movement, yoga, and flexibility. Through dedication and self-discovery, she turned challenges into growth.
Her story reminds us that healing is possible. It also shows that strength can come from both movement and stillness. In the end, her journey encourages others to trust their path and embrace their full potential.
